This 1.5-year mixed methods study was conducted between 2022 and 2023 in Kampala, Uganda, where surveys were administered to 1608 girls and women at public health facilities and non-governmental organizations that focus on maternal and sexual reproductive health care, to understand their fertility behaviors and reproductive health experiences. Subsequently, 50 girls and women participated in in-depth interviews revealing their experiences with pregnancy termination. Additionally, 55 key informant interviews were conducted with healthcare workers providing child, maternal, and sexual reproductive health care to girls and women at eight public health facilities in Kampala, to understand their experiences providing post-abortion care.
